My earliest memories involve cameras. My
grandfather developed the
first roll of microfilm and worked for Recordak (Kodak) when it was
founded in New York. I believe every room of their house had a camera
in it. As kids, my sisters and I were encouraged to be creative, and
that has always been a large influence in my life.
I started down my "photographers" path in my teens but was sidetracked
by college. I have recently found my path again and feel somewhat like
Alice through the looking glass, only my journey is through the lens of
a camera. I am excited about my adventure and am lucky enough to have
found peace within myself and encouragement from family and friends.
My grandfather always said that everything is temporary. While that may
be true for life's moments; he forgot that an image of that moment can
last forever.
